A few miles up the coast from Colwyn Bay is Conwy. Conwy is a medieval walled city located on the point where a river meets the sea. Conwy is also the home to Conwy Castle. The castle was built by Edward I between 1283 - 1289. This was the first time that I had ever been to a walled city, or a castle for that matter. It was definately an interesting place. We ended up climbing up several towers that had magnificent views of the surrounding river and countryside. Since it rains so much in Wales, the landscape is so green. The only thing that breaks up the green are the dots of white sheep that are scattered over the hillsides. They say there are three million people living in Wales, but six million sheep.
