California Coast

Highway 1 is one of the best drives in California, if not in the country. The road snakes its way from San Diego to the Oregon border, hugging the coastline as it goes. The best stretches of highway lay in the central and northern parts of the state where PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) winds its way high above the Pacific, nestled between the grassy hills and the crashing waves. This shot if from the central coast, just outside of San Louis Obispo. It is this stretch, just south of San Francisco, that is my favorite. The colors of the flowers and smell of the ocean air make the drive magical.
